This strain of Rhodiola rosea is extremely rare, very difficult to source and extremely expensive! The original PRO contains 5.1% rosavins, which makes the Rhodiola rosea in World Championship PRO 3 times as strong. We have also added L-Arginine-Alpha-Ketoglutarate to the DBM Amino Fusion component to help improve endurance and increase workout capacity. DBM Endurance World Championship PRO is also formulated 1200mg of Cordyceps sinensis, containing 8% cordycepic acid and the amino acid endurance combination of Citrulline Malate 2:1, L-Leucine, L-Valine and L-Isoleucine and L-Arginine-Alpha-Ketoglutarate. This unique formulation will allow you to rapidly increase oxygen intake and reduce lactic acid. This is a must for any serious triathlete, cyclist, runner or swimmer.

The year started early as Jynocel Basweti and Wesley Ochoro raced in Jackson, Mississippi at the Mississippi Blues Marathon on Jan 3rd. Basweti continued his strong performances from last year as he fought for a very tough 2nd place finish on the hilly course in 2:19:19, beating the former course record by over 6 minutes! Wesley completed his 3rd marathon ever, placing 5th in 2:23:57. Great going guys!

Last weekend, Haron Lagat and Leah Kiprono traveled to Bermuda for the Bermuda Challenge. Haron once again had an outstanding weekend as he placed 2nd in the mile event Friday night, 3rd in the 10k on Saturday, and 5th in the half marathon on Sunday, WOW!! Leah was 6th in the mile and 10k and finished a solid 2nd in the half marathon. A good way to start the season!

Also on on Sunday, Fred Mogaka returned to marathon action at the PF Chang’s Rock-n-Roll Marathon in Phoenix. Fred gutted out a solid 2:14:52 for 5th place in a very competitive field. Fantastic!
In Naples, Florida on Sunday, Basweti tested his speed against a formidable group in the Naples Daily News Half Marathon. The result was a season best 64:59, good for the 5th spot. Kona Endurance PRO is really kicking in for Edward Muge of Kenya. Edward is one of several Kenyans with the AmeriKenya Running Club who takes Kona Endurance PRO. He’s on fire right now, winning everything in sight. This last weekend he won the Beach to Beacon 10K in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, which is a bigtime race. He edged out Terefe Maregu Zewdie, who happens to be the world’s #1 ranked road racer, with a 27:52.4.

Kona Endurance Runners, Cyclists and Triathletes are having awesome seasons so far, winning everything in sight. Facts are facts, Kona Endurance PRO makes you faster, you will increase oxygen intake and you will reduct lactic acid. Great Job Edward and lets see if we can make it 3 straight major road races!

Hello All,

This weekend prvovided one race in Orange County, California, the Magic Shoe 5000(formerly Bastille Day 5k). Edward Muge returned from Kenya for the first time since December 2006. Edward recently won the 10,000m event at the Kenyan National Championships. He certainly showed his conditioning with a blistering 13:55 time. This was a course record and the elite organizer feels it is the fastest time for any 5k in Orange county over the last 10 years or so! Great going Edward!

lamech_mokono

Congratulations to Kona Endurance runner, Lamech Mokono in winning the 32nd annual Grandma’s Marathon yesterday in Minnesota. He battled winds for much of the race, pulling away at the 12.5 mile mark to win in 2:13:39. Mokono takes Kona Endurance PRO as many of the top Kenyan marathoners do.

+ Star Tribune Article

Rose Kosgei continued her winning ways last night in Minneapolis at the MTC Mile event. In a rare evening Kosgeirose affair, Rose navigated the slight uphill course with 3 turns in an amazing 4:37 to capture the crown over several prominent milers. Rose’s feat comes after winning the Union-Tribune 8k Sunday morning and pacing the women’s 10,000 meter track event(where a U.S record was smashed) on Sunday night!! Her hard work and dedication certainly has paid off.

Haron Lagat also ran a gem of a race to finish 2nd in the same race in 4:09. He was only steps from the winner as he also had won the U-T 8k on Sunday and paced the men’s 10,000m event at the Cardinal Invitational on Sunday night. Well done, Haron.

Margaret Chichir gave it her all in this race as well and finished a very respectable 5th in a tough women’s field. This was Margaret’s first try at the mile distance and follows her race at Bloomsday last Sunday. Keep up the strong efforts Margaret (written by Scott Robinson of the AmeriKenyan Running Club)

It was another exciting weekend for AmeriKenyan RC. On Saturday in Indianapolis, Lamech Mokono made history by finishing in a tie for first place at the One America 500 Mini Marathon. It was a field loaded with repeat winners and Lamech ran a wonderful race and made history with the tie (see article). Wesley Ochor also ran a strong race to finish fifth. 9 of the top 10 athletes were Kenyan born. John Thornell traveled to Indy also after a week of conferences in Florida. His recent work on the road paid off with a 2nd place finish in tha masters division! Super job John. http://www.runnersweb.com/running/news_2008/rw_news_20080503_Mini_Marathon.html

On Sunday morning in Sa Diego, Rose Kosgei and Haron Lagat each won the Union Tribune 8k. Haron fought off a a group of 3 other athletes in the final 400 meters to win while Richard Kimeli showed his stuff by finishing 2nd lees than a second behind Haron! It was an exctinig finish to watch. Rose ran a tactical race to save her energy and took home the women’s first prize in her first race there.

After winning their respective races, Haron and Rose took quick ice baths, along with some Kona Endurance tablets, for muscle recovery and headed to Stanford University near San Jose to be pacemakers for the 10,000 meter events in the Cardinal Invitaional, one of the top track events in ths US. Rose’s pacesetting aided Shalane Flanagan to break the US women’s record at 10,000 meters and for Kim Smith to break the New Zealand record! That’s superb work. Haron paced the men through 3,300 meters and 2 Americans hit their Olympic Trials qualifying times in that event. What a day for Rose and Haron, get some rest now.

Also on Sunday in Spokane, Washington, 4 athletes from AKRC competed in the Bloomsday 12k. Macdonard Ondara ran a sizzling race as he competed throughout for the top spot and finished 4th in the most competitive 12k in the country. Kenyan record holder Micah Kogo set a course record and Macdonard was not far behind. Joe Gray, a Washington resident, captured the Washington resident divison first place purse! Joe has been working very hard this spring to prepare for this race and his hard work paid off! Good going Joe.

The ladies field was also the strongest at this distance in the US. Caroline Rotich , who flew in directly from Kenya, had a solid race as she finished 11th. Margaret Chirchir had an unfortunate fall around mile 4 when she was tangled up with another athlete. She got back up and was able to secure 12th position with determination. These athletes are full of heart (written by Scott Robinson of AmeriKenyan Running Club).

On Saturday in Nashville, Tennessee, Sharon Cherop ran just her 2nd marathon of her career and placed 4th in the highly competitive Country Music Marathon in a time of 2:39:52. Benjamin Itok, our newest member, came in directly from Kenya for his first US race and finished in a solid 5th place performance(2:18:16). Both athletes took home a paycheck. Sharon will be departing on Tuesday to go home and prepare for the Armed Forces Championships in June. Go for it Sharon!

Also on Saturday in Louisville, Kentucky, Charles Kiplagat returned to his form by running 2nd in the Kentucky Derby Marathon. Charles has been rehabilitating from an injury and showed that proper healing and hard work pays off. Charles’ time on the hilly course was 2:22:50 and he finished the race healthy which we are very grateful for. Good job Charles! Andrew Musuva also returned from a very long layoff in this race and had some issues to finish but will continue to work hard and be ready for the next event.

Sunday’s races were shorter distances but had equally exciting endings. In Kansas City, Macdonard Ondara returned to capture his 2nd Trolley Run victory in a row on a cold morning. He completed the 4 mile course in 18:12 while Haron Lagat was a close 2nd in 18:28. Haron also finished 2nd in last years race. On the women’s side, Rose Kosgei easily Ondara_breaks_the_tape_2 handled the field in a solid 20:11 with the next finisher about 2 minutes behind. The Trolley Run raises money to aid vision impaired children and we were happy to be a part of the event again. Congrats to Macdonard, Rose and Haron!

Further north in Great Falls, Montana, Margaret Chirchir powered to victory in the Ice Breaker 5 Mile. Her winning time of 27:59 was nearly 1 minute ahead of the 2nd place finisher. In the men’s race, Lamech Mokono and Wesley Ochoro gave it their all and finished 2nd (23:44) and 3rd (23:48) respectively. Again, everyone had solid performances and were awarded with prize money. Good going Margaret, Lamech and Wesley!

Across the pond in Hamburg, Germany, another of our newer member, Paul Kiptanui, ran in the very competitive Hamburg Marathon. Paul ran extremely well through the first half of the race, timing just over 63 minutes at the 21k mark but then experienced severe blisters on his foot and struggled over the 2nd half. Paul did fight to the finish and will now prepare for another race. This was his first attempt in some time and knows he will be ready for the next one.
