Introducing NEW DBM Endurance World Championship PRO, over 300% more potent than the original Kona Endurance PRO. This is unlike anything in the world and is for the athlete that demands the absolutely most potent endurance supplement available. Your endurance training will reach heights you otherwise thought were not possible and you will not only place in the 10% of your age-group, you’ll win it!

WHAT MAKES IT SO POTENT

Now formulated with Rhodiola rosea containing 15% Rosavins….this is unheard of and cannot be understated! This strain of Rhodiola rosea is extremely rare, very difficult to source and extremely expensive! The original PRO contains 5.1% rosavins, which makes the Rhodiola rosea in World Championship PRO 3 times as strong. We have also added L-Arginine-Alpha-Ketoglutarate to the DBM Amino Fusion component to help improve endurance and increase workout capacity. DBM Endurance World Championship PRO is also formulated 1200mg of Cordyceps sinensis, containing 8% cordycepic acid and the amino acid endurance combination of Citrulline Malate 2:1, L-Leucine, L-Valine and L-Isoleucine and L-Arginine-Alpha-Ketoglutarate. This unique formulation will allow you to rapidly increase oxygen intake and reduce lactic acid. This is a must for any serious triathlete, cyclist, runner or swimmer.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP PRO $64.95                Leading Competitor $74.95
Rhodiola rosea, 15% rosavins, 360mg               Rhodiola rosea, 10% rosavins,300mg

You will notice that the Rhodiola rosea in World Championship PRO contains 15% rosavins compared to only 10% rosavins in a leading competitor. THE Rhodiola rosea in WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP PRO is a whopping 50% more potent than the leading competitor. In addition to the Rhodioa rosea being 50% more potent, you will notice that World Championship PRO contains 20% more Rhodiola (360mg vs 300mg). Notice the dosages and potency of Cordyceps sinensis in World Championship PRO vs a leading competitor. Not only does World Championship PRO contain an amazing 20% more Cordyceps sinensis, it also is formulated 8% cordycepic acid vs only 7%.

Last Sunday our guy, Bryan Rhodes won the 2008 Ironman Canada. It was an absolute spectacular win for Bryan. Its been a few years since Bryan won an Ironman and we couldn’t be happier for him. Think about it, around 3 months after going on Kona Endurance PRO, Rhodsey wins a major Ironman….Hawaii should be fun. Here is link to a real nice interview with Rhodsey

http://www.slowtwitch.com/Interview/A_chat_with_Bryan_Rhodes__493.html

I arrived in Pentiction, B.C Canada on Wednesday the 20th of August and it felt like I had come home. It has been 5 years since I had raced Ironman Canada and I was looking forward to it.

The media focused on the Canadians and few others that had won Ironman races so I was pretty relaxed going into the race with number 9.

Race day came quick and I was up at 4am for breakfast that is always hard to eat that early in the morning with a couple of strong cups of coffee I was feeling ready. Heading down to transition and marking I got through with great ease and had my bike set up very early with lots of time to get ready for the 6.45am start.

The Pro’s were let into the water at 6.30am and I got out doing a good warm up as the water had been pretty cold leading up to the race. My stroke felt great so was looking forward to a great day, the cannon went off and we were away. There were 3 other really great swimmers in the field they were Jan Sibberson , Mark Van Akkren and Matt Clarke I had a bad start and after 600mts they got a break on me and I was left to swim the last 3200mts on my own at the turn I was 50mts behind but on the way back the sun gear on the water was hard to sight into and ended up going off course a bit and losing 2mins 30seconds to the lead 3 guys.

My transition to the bike was fast and I jumped onto the Cervelo and felt great and could push the pace straight away. I had chosen to use the Hed 3 spoke carbon wheels as it will be a set up I may run in Hawaii . I caught Jan and Matt at 30k on the bike and dropped them straight away so thought I would catch Mark in the next few miles but got a split that I was 2mins back and the gap never got any smaller I felt strong but gave up chasing him at 150k and he put another 2 ½ minutes into me.

I still felt very strong but was preparing myself for the Marathon and wanted to save my energy as the wind was really pick up and I knew Mark was a 3.30 marathoner!

Coming back along Main Street the crowd was huge and I kept taking in gels and water shaking out the legs after a tough ride. I headed to transition 4m.15sec down and changed put on compression socks to race in for the 1st time, they slowed my usually slick transition time down but hoped they will keep my calf’s from any injury problems again.
I was eating into Marks lead very quickly but the threat was going to come from behind me in the runners of Jasper Blake and Jason Shortis so need time splits on them.

I caught Mark and mile 5 and was feeling good but the wind was really blowing hard into our face so was working hard I knew if I got to the turn around with a 3-4mins then I would be blown back home.

Jasper was on the charge and eating away at my lead every mile and really didn’t think I could win but I was going to keep fighting as I felt strong then as mile 16 the motor bike came up to me and said you just gain 30seconds back off Jasper and it lifted me.

Seeing Peter Reid commentating he was yelling at me also gave me a huge boost and I gave him the thumbs up!
I ticked off the miles and new once I hit town the crowd would bring me to the finish line as it was packed with supporters and you know where you have to go! The motor bike came up the last time with 3k to go and said that I had 4.30 on Austrian, Bernhard Hiebl. I knew then the race was mine and started to celebrate the moment.

Heading along lakeshore drive in first for the last out and back was awesome I had dreamt about this moment for a long time and getting to the finish carpet I walked it in and high 5 everyone the clock ticked over 8.30 for my finish time of 8.30.11.

2008 Ironman Canada Champion!!

Thank you for all your support over the tough last year I’m hoping that my result in Hawaii will be as memorable.
Kind Regards
Bryan Rhodes

Kona Endurance PRO is really kicking in for Edward Muge of Kenya. Edward is one of several Kenyans with the AmeriKenya Running Club who takes Kona Endurance PRO. He’s on fire right now, winning everything in sight. This last weekend he won the Beach to Beacon 10K in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, which is a bigtime race. He edged out Terefe Maregu Zewdie, who happens to be the world’s #1 ranked road racer, with a 27:52.4.

Kona Endurance Runners, Cyclists and Triathletes are having awesome seasons so far, winning everything in sight. Facts are facts, Kona Endurance PRO makes you faster, you will increase oxygen intake and you will reduct lactic acid. Great Job Edward and lets see if we can make it 3 straight major road races!

Good Day everyone!

Well this was an exciting week as Edward Muge won(32:16) the very competitve Bix 7 in Davenport, Iowa. Edward had prepared very well and fought off a super strong field of athletes to win the hilly race, just 17 seconds short of the course record. Edward will now travel to Cape Elizabeth. Maine for the Beach to Beacon 10k on Saturday. Great going Edward!

In the same event Macdonard Ondara ran a respectable 9th position and also received awards monies for his efforts. Keep up the consistent work Macdonard.

On Saturday, Caroline was finishing her current race schedule in the Heart of Summer 10k in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Caroline had already placed 2nd(4:53) on Tuesday eveing in the Grandmas Mile in St Paul. Caro fought to a 4th place finish(33:19) against some very strong ladies and now has traveled home to recharge and spend time with her family.

On Sunday, Leah and Mathew ran in the Wharf to Wharf 6 miler in Santa Cruz, California. Leah had a difficult time in the cold, clammy fog but still managed a 8th place finish(33:11) while Mathew continued his marathon preparations with a very solid 4th(28:30). Super efforts by both!!

God Bless all,

Scott, Vanessa, John and the club athletes

Hello Friends and Sponsors
On the 19th of July I raced my 1st Olympic distance triathlon of the year the Evergreen International Triathlon 2 hours south of Chicago! After coming out to do a swim clinic and race last year and getting caught short with a couple of talented young triathletes giving me a beating I came back very motivated to win.

Also to make it tougher on me I had scheduled 2 swim clinics and had a total of 75 people over the two clinics.

bryan_rhodes_evergreen

I woke at 5am for the 7am start to lighting and pouring rain a bit of a worry as would hate the swim to be canceled, the lighting stopped but it kept pouring down but was warm rain so I was ok with it.

The water was a barmy 77.8deg F so I thought there would be no wetsuits but they allowed them I hadn’t brought mine down to the race so had to go with the Blueseventy point 3 zero.

The gun went off and we were away and I pushed hard then settled in only managed to get a gap of 20 seconds as some of the guys had wetsuits which make them a lot faster.

On the bike I felt great and the new uniform was really comfortable and I put the pedal to the metal and wanted to get away from any runners! I got to the turn around and then knew we had a bit of a tailwind and was downhill so really push hard going to T2!

The corners where a little sketchy but I attacked them and rode 58mins for the wet 40k! I was nearly a minute faster than the next guy!

On the run my legs felt a bit heavy for the first 3 miles but then I picked up the pace and was running 5.40miles for the last 3 miles and won the race by nearly 2 minutes. It was really pleasing as I’ve changed a few things with my bike position so the changes are starting to feel good and I’m now looking forward to Ironman Canada in 5 week and training very hard.

Will keep you posted as may race the 5430 Half Ironman here in Boulder, Colorado as my last hit out but will treat it more as a very hard training day!

Cheers Rhodsey

Hello All,

This weekend prvovided one race in Orange County, California, the Magic Shoe 5000(formerly Bastille Day 5k). Edward Muge returned from Kenya for the first time since December 2006. Edward recently won the 10,000m event at the Kenyan National Championships. He certainly showed his conditioning with a blistering 13:55 time. This was a course record and the elite organizer feels it is the fastest time for any 5k in Orange county over the last 10 years or so! Great going Edward!

kenyan_success

Macdonard Ondara continued his consistent running with a 2nd place finish(14:19) and marathoner Mathew Kosgei was a solid 4th(14:25). Edward and Macdonard earned time bonuses.

On the ladies side, Caroline Rotich won easily in 16:19 and earned a time bonus as well. Super Caro!

This was a preparation race as all of these athletes compete this week in bigger events. On tap for this week are:

Winning Combo

July 23, 2008 Cycling, Race, Results Comments

MID SEASON BREAK

Right now it is pretty much mid season for most of us that reside in the warmer climes. Base periods started in Late Dec 07 are long forgotten and now only the burning intensity of full out racing means anything! Alas also looming at every finish line and at the end of every interval workout is the specter of over training. It’s getting time for a break!
I can hear you yammering on about lost fitness how your gains will be erased and on it goes. But here is the thing, you are strong right now, stronger than when you started out the year–way stronger, and that is the result you were after, Thing is that now when you do an interval or ride in a race the “cost” to your body is almost double from what it was in say Feb. The physiological price tag is high and while some major adaptations have taken place in the way your body functions it simply just looses ground more as the power goes up and the season wears on. When do you really bonk the most, back in the winter you would ride eat and chat with friends keeping fueled up and having plenty of energy stores built up to draw from, but now mid- season if you miss a feed or skip a meal it spells big trouble as the super efficient engine you have created burns up energy at a rapid rate! What to do?

TAKE A BREAK!

A few days off the bike will do wonders for your body as well as your mind even if you think you are fresh right now! Look if there is nothing important coming up soon taking 3-4 days off will not kill you, however it will drive you totally nuts! You can get back in touch with other things like family and friends and take a deep breath. You will be fidgety at first but by the end of the second day you will start getting it and by the weekend you will be ready to devourer some miles and you will feel fresh and your spring will be back! My story follows

brian_grenier_tt

RACE REPORT:

OK for those that have been following my blogs you know that I reached a peak at the end of June and retooled my training to cycle for a second peak. First what I did was honestly I enjoyed the 4th of July in big time fashion! I let my diet go a little, I allowed more of what I normally eat with the exception of 2 bowls of ice cream over the 4th! Yes it was good! During the first week of July I really didn’t do any “formal” training however I did ride more for pleasure with family and friends and we put in some hours as well as had a little “fun” while riding but mostly it was a rejuvenation week.

After the week of the forth it was back to work! Long TT intervals and a lot of sprint intervals this is a favorite of my coach Bruce Hendler. I was scheduled to race in a 10 mile TT in two weeks mostly a train through race leading up to an important race this past weekend. Being an “master” athlete I paid a lot of attention to my recovery every day worked on my breathing tempo with Ian Jackson and I added one thing, Citra Beta Shot! Wow what a difference this made. Just from an on the ground where the rubber meets the road test bed my anaerobic endurance went up without question! Here is what happened:

I started taking Citra Beta Shot on Friday 2 days before race #1. In race #1 I had a good warm up and hit the start gate feeling ok not great but ok. The course was unknown to me as I had not had time to ride it and my warm up was weak due to the relentless heat. Once on the course I found out that it was a disaster waiting to happen multiple, active 4 way traffic intersections, plus it was advertised as flat which it wasn’t. In the end I had a horrible ride and didn’t “open up” until the turnaround with that said I ended out of the top 10 in 11th but hey on this one I escaped alive.

This past weekend things changed around even though I faced the challenges of 8 hr travel 90 min traffic jam on the way to the race disk wheel failed and I had just so very little time to warm up just like the week prior but I felt totally different. Once the timer pointed me down the road it was ON and the final result was a PB by more than 105 seconds yea that’s 1:40 over my best ever the only change was Citrabeta shot

I will be at the Tour of Utah riding stage 4 with the 300 Warriors Project, EXCITING!
